कटी पतंग सी कहानी मेरी!
न ठौर है न ठिकाना रुकने का,
हवा के झोंके से इधर-उधर हो जाए,
बीत गए बचपन के वो दिन,
देखते भटकते बीतती जवानी मेरी,
कटी पतंग सी कहानी मेरी ।

हवा का रुख अख्तियार किए,
अपनाए अपनी अच्छी बुरी किस्मत को,
ढूंढते हुए यूँ हि मन की चाह अपनी,
भटकते भटकते बीतती जवानी मेरी,
कटी पतंग सी कहानी मेरी ।

हर मोड में राह के मिलती यूँ ठोकर,
खुदा नें दी रंजिश खुद की जिन्दगानी से,
जिन्दगी की रंजिश में खुद को पीसता हुआ,
हर बात अटकती बखानी मेरी,
कटी पतंग सी कहानी मेरी ।
